Tough Times force SME Business to be smarter with their advertising dollar$
Google has just reported on their last quarter earnings, and whilst most media companies are talking recession and the shrinking advertiser dollar spend, Google has seen the opposite occur.
In my regular presentations, I talk about Google being a God-send for SME (Small to Medium Enterprise) Business. The ability to acurately target customers geographically, the ability to control costs and generate a great return on advertising investment is something a SME Business Owner can no longer ignore!
Googles last quarter has seen more customers rely on paid click advertising as a source of information for their products and services. Googles 1/3 quarter profit rose by a staggering 26% and now sees them have a dominant 63% market share of online searches.
The report goes on to say ” …..advertisers are shifting budgets away from TV and print media toward ads that run alongside search listings, targeting online shopping.”
